A man in his 20s was fatally wounded at an Arcadia house party, authorities said Monday.

The shooting was reported at 8:49 p.m. Sunday in the 2800 block of Caroline Way, according to Arcadia police Lt. Kollin Cieadlo.

“It looked like some type of argument led to a shooting,” Cieadlo said. The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken by paramedics to Huntington Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It happened during a house party attended by “roughly 25” guests, he said. “It looked like a rental.”

One male suspect was detained for questioning, he said. His age and relationship to the victim were not available.

When the victim died, the case was turned over to sheriff’s homicide detectives, Cieadlo said.
