One motorist was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and nine vehicles were towed during an overnight driver’s license/sobriety checkpoint in Pomona, police said Saturday.
Thirty-three motorists were cited or arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license, the Pomona Police Department reported.
The checkpoint at Mission Boulevard and Linden Street began at 9 p.m. and ended Saturday at 3 a.m.
The department said checkpoints are placed in locations based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests.
