Police Saturday circulated a photo of a 45-year-old man with the mental capacity of a 4-year-old who went missing near the outskirts of Koreatown.
Authorities said Richard Min Kim, for unknown reasons, suddenly put on his running shows at about 9:30 a.m. Friday and ran out of his apartment complex. He was last seen running westbound on Pico Boulevard, just west of Normandie Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Kim is a marathon runner.
Kim’s father chased him, but was unable to catch up with him. His family is concerned that he might not pay attention to traffic or traffic signals.
He was last seen wearing a neon green shirt, black shorts and bright green shoes. He was described as a 6-feet-2-inch tall Korean male with black hair, brown eyes weighing approximately 150 pounds.
The LAPD’s Olympic station urged anyone with information regarding Kim’s whereabouts to call them at 213-382-9102.
