A suspected drunken driver was in custody Friday after crashing into a house in Pomona, killing a woman inside.

The crash was reported about 9:15 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton Boulevard and Colony Drive, according to the Pomona Police Department.

Yolanda Bozonier, 59, who lived in the home, died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office.

Carmelino Martinezordonez, 33, of Pomona was booked on suspicion of felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter, and held on $100,000 bail, police said.

“When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a vehicle collided into a house,” police said in a statement. “One resident of the house sustained life-threatening injuries.”

According to police, the fatally injured woman was trapped under the PT Cruiser for about 20 minutes.

“The driver was traveling southbound on Hamilton Boulevard at a high rate of speed when (he) lost control and collided into a house,” police said. “At this time, it appears alcohol was a factor in this collision.”

Anyone with information about the crash was urged to call police at 909-802-7741 or 909-620-2048; or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
