A person was killed in a shooting in Santa Ana Thursday morning and the shooter was at large.
Officers responded to the 1600 block of South Cedar Street, near the intersection of Edinger and Standard avenues, about 12:10 a.m., according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
A male victim was found at the location, but police could not immediately disclose the victim’s age or name.
A news photographer at the scene reported the victim was located in an alley near an apartment complex in the area.
A detailed description of the suspect or a motive for the shooting were not available.
This is the second deadly shooting in Santa Ana this week. On Monday night, a man was shot multiple times in a gang-related shooting in the parking lot of a strip mall in the 900 block of Bristol Street. The victim later died at a hospital, according to police.
