A bicyclist was struck and killed Saturday by a hit-and-run motorist in Carson, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 6:17 a.m. in the area of Chico and Dominguez streets, according to a watch commander at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Carson station.
Paramedics dispatched to the scene at 6:18 a.m. transported no one to any area hospitals, according to a county fire department dispatcher, adding the initial call was a report of a “female down.”
The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Sheriff’s Department had no description of the suspect’s vehicle and there was no other immediate information.
