A woman who was fatally shot in Koreatown was identified Friday as investigators continued their efforts to solve the crime.
Cindy Avila, 34, of Los Angeles died at the scene of the shooting, which was reported about 9:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of South Wilton Place, according to the coroner’s office and the Los Angeles Police Department.
No arrests were reported, and no suspect description was available.
