Two people were killed Tuesday morning in a crash involving an SUV that struck the rear of a big rig parked on the right hand side of the southbound Orange (57) Freeway in Pomona.
The crash occurred near the Temple Avenue exit about 3:35 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
About 5:45 a.m., Caltrans announced two people had been killed in the crash and the Nos. 2, 3 and 4 southbound lanes near the scene were closed until further notice.
The victims were not immediately identified.
