Authorities Tuesday identified a 52-year-old man who was fatally shot in Torrance.
Officers went to the 3700 block of Artesia Boulevard about 11 p.m. Sunday on a report of shots fired, according to the Torrance Police Department.
Paramedics pronounced Damon Martin Toregano dead at the scene, according to police and the coroner’s office, which could not provide his city of residence.
“Detectives are currently conducting a follow-up investigation, and are working to identify the suspect(s) involved,” police said in a statement Monday. “There is no ongoing threat to the public, and this is believed to be an isolated incident.”
An update on the investigation was not immediately available Tuesday.
