A 64-year-old man suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, who went missing Thursday in West Covina, has been found, police said Sunday.

West Covina police did not release what time or where Donald Reed Tasker was found, but reported that he had been safely located.

Tasker was last seen about 2 p.m. Thursday walking away from a home on East Brooktree Circle, in the area of Amar Road and South Lark Ellen Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued a silver alert on behalf of the West Covina Police Department.

The silver alert program was established to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled and cognitively impaired individuals, according to the CHP.
