Three people were hurt, two critically, in a solo-vehicle crash on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway Sunday in the city of Industry.
The crash sent the vehicle over the side on the southbound 605 at the Valley Boulevard on-ramp about 8 p.m., said Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman.
The three victims became trapped in the wreckage, Pittman said.
Firefighters extricated them, Dispatch Supervisor Martin Rangel said.
Two people were transported to a hospital for treatment, he said. The other person suffered minor injuries and was not transported.
The Valley Boulevard on-ramp was shut down and the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert at 8:17 p.m.
As of 9:30 p.m., the on-ramp remained closed and the SigAlert still in effect, said CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.
