One person was taken into custody on suspicion of drunken driving at a DUI and drivers license checkpoint in Pomona, authorities said Saturday morning.

The checkpoint at Mission Boulevard and Curran Place was conducted from 9 p.m Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday, according to the Pomona Police Department.

In addition to the arrest, another 30 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle without a license or suspended or revoked license and nine vehicles were towed, the department said.

Drivers caught driving impaired and charged with DUI can expect the impact of an arrest to be approximately $13,500, including fines, fees, DUI classes, suspension of their license and possible jail time, police said.
