Authorities Wednesday identified a woman who was killed when her car collided with another car in a Pasadena intersection.

Juanita Johnson, 49, of Pasadena died at the scene of the crash at Fair Oaks Avenue and Glenarm Street about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the coroner’s office and the Pasadena Police Department.

According to police, Johnson was driving a Kia Optima that collided with an Audi S5.

Three passengers in the Kia — a woman in her 20s, a man in is his 30s and a child about 18 months old — were taken to hospitals for treatment of moderate injuries, police said.

The driver of the Audi — a 36-year-old Pasadena man — also was taken to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries, police said. The man, whose name was not released, was alone in his vehicle.

“The preliminary investigation revealed the Audi S5 was traveling northbound on Fair Oaks Avenue when it collided with the Kia Optima traveling westbound through the intersection,” police said. “At this time alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected. The investigation is ongoing.”

Police could not conform a broadcast report that said one vehicle was driving on the wrong side of the street.
