Firefighters knocked down a fire inside a two-story duplex behind a home in the Central/Alameda area of Los Angeles Sunday evening.
The blaze at 12219 E. 48th St., east of Central Avenue, was reported at 7:47 p.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The department dispatched 33 firefighters to the scene and extinguished the flames in about 15 minutes, Humphrey said.
No victims were reported and the building’s electrical system was being examined, he said.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
