A motorist was hurt Monday morning in a hit-and-run crash on state Route 79 near San Jacinto.
The collision was reported about 9 a.m. in the southbound direction, just south of Gilman Springs Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
An unidentified motorist suffered unspecified injuries in the crash. It was unclear whether the patient was transported to a hospital.
The CHP reported the suspect vehicle was tailgating the victim’s vehicle prior to ramming it and driving away. Riverside County sheriff’s deputies were on the lookout for a tan or champagne color Toyota Camry.
