A fetus was found Wednesday in an alley in Koreatown.
Officers were called about 5:10 p.m. to the area near West 7th Street and South New Hampshire Avenue, near Wilshire Boulevard and Vermont Avenue, after someone reported seeing a baby, said Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Im initially described the fetus as an approximately 6-month old baby.
Police are conducting a death investigation, Im said.
