A man was discovered fatally shot at a Riverside park, and authorities Wednesday put out a call for anyone who might have information to come forward.

The victim, whose identity has not been confirmed, was located about 7 a.m. Tuesday on the edge of Bordwell Park in the 2000 block of MLK Boulevard, according to the Riverside Police Department.

Officer Ryan Railsback said a park employee was walking the grounds when he came upon the body.

Railsback said it was apparent the man had been shot to death.

Detectives from the Robbery-Homicide Unit initiated an investigation and are trying to develop leads in the case. There was no information about a possible motive or suspects, according to Railsback, who asked anyone who might have information to contact detectives at 951-353-7134 or rpdtips@riversideca.gov.
