The body of a woman was found under the Garden Grove (22) Freeway near Hoover Street in Westminster Thursday.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, appeared to be in hers late 20s to mid-30s, said California Patrol Officer Duane Graham, who said investigators suspect foul play in her death.
The body was found by passersby in a drainage canal about 9:30 a.m., prompting a call to Westminster police, Graham said. The CHP took over when it was determined the body was found on state property, he said.
Anyone who has information relevant for investigators was asked to call 714-892-4426.
