A man was shot Monday evening in South San Gabriel.
The shooting in the 8100 block of Arroyo Drive was reported around 7:35 p.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Calvin Maw told City News Service.
The victim was shot in the upper chest. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics took him to a hospital for treatment. His condition is not known, Maw said.
The suspect fled on foot. Deputies do not have a suspect description, Maw said.
A motive for the shooting was unknown.
