A military Humvee stolen from the National Guard Armory in Bell was recovered Wednesday in Vernon.

The theft of the $120,000 vehicle occurred about 8:15 a.m. Friday, FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said Saturday.

The vehicle was recovered early Wednesday morning under an overpass near South Downey Road and Bandini Boulevard in Vernon, Eimiller said. A tip came into the FBI’s command center overnight with the exact location of the vehicle and “led them right to it,” Eimiller said.

The FBI is continuing to seek information about the party responsible for the theft.

Anyone with information related to the case was urged to call 310-477-6565.
