A planned, nine-hour partial road closure of Jamboree Road at the San Diego (405) Freeway in Irvine goes into effect Saturday morning.
The north- and southbound lanes of Jamboree Road will be limited beginning at 6 a.m. through 3 p.m., according to the Irvine Police Department.
Vehicles exiting the southbound San Diego Freeway at Jamboree Road will be forced to turn right and will be able to make a U-turn at Michelson to travel north on Jamboree Road, police said.
Only one lane of traffic will be open for travel southbound on Jamboree Road from Main Street, the department said.
Drivers will still be able to enter the north- and southbound San Diego Freeway from Jamboree Road and Main Street.
The reason for the partial road closure was not known.
