Two people were killed Monday in an apparent electrocution in Panorama City, authorities said.
Firefighters went to the 14700 block of Tupper Street about 2:45 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A man in his 50s and a woman in her 20s died at the scene, the LAFD reported. Information was not immediately available on their identities.
According to Fox11, the pair were electrocuted by downed power lines when they went out of a residence after hearing a loud sound. Power was shut off in the immediate area as a precaution.
The Los Angeles Police Department was investigating.
