A car wash employee apparently lost control of a freshly cleaned car and it careened through bushes and into a Jack-in-the-Box restaurant in the Liemert Park area of Los Angeles Saturday.

The crash was reported about 3:40 p.m. at the drive-through restaurant at 4210 Crenshaw Blvd., according to Sgt. P. Ybarra of the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division.

The restaurant was shut down and boarded up until a city building inspector could check its integrity, Ybarra said. He did not know whether the restaurant reopened later.

No one was injured inside the restaurant, he said. The car wash employee complained of pain.
