A pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck Tuesday evening in Riverside.
The crash occurred about 6:05 p.m. near the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Jefferson Street, said Riverside Police Department Officer Ryan Railsback.
Arriving officers determined the truck was traveling east on Indiana Avenue when it struck a man in the street, Railsback said.
The man, whose name was not immediately released, died at the scene.
The driver of the truck remained on scene, Railsback said.
Indiana Avenue between Jefferson Street and Detroit Avenue was closed as police investigated the crash.
