A 54-year-old man pleaded not guilty Wednesday to sexually assaulting two underage teenage boys in Buena Park and attempting to run over an officer while fleeing.
Casey Keith Moore was charged in September with two counts of oral copulation of an underage victim, a count of assault with a weapon on a peace officer and a count of reckless driving during a pursuit, all felonies.
Moore is accused of sexually assaulting one of the victims on Sept. 7 and another on Sept. 13, according to court records.
The ages of the alleged victims were not released. When police went to arrest the suspect he fled and struck another vehicle while getting away, according to Sgt. Mario Escamilla of the Buena Park Police Department.
A warrant was issued for Moore’s arrest and investigators tracked him to a location in Nye County, Nevada, but when sheriff’s deputies there attempted to take him into custody in December he led them on a chase, Escamilla said.
Moore, who was jailed Dec. 30, was being held on $1 million bail, according to jail records.
At his arraignment Wednesday in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana, Moore was ordered to return to court Feb. 17 in the West Justice Center in Westminster.
