A man was shot and killed Thursday in Sherman Oaks, and a possible suspect was detained, authorities said.
The crime was reported about 5:30 a.m. in the 12900 block of Hesby Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Information on the identity of the fatally injured man, who was in his 50s, was not immediately available. The circumstances of the shooting were under investigation.
