Two people were injured, at least one seriously, in an apparent altercation Wednesday at a Moreno Valley home.
The assault call was received at about 1:20 p.m. in the 15000 block of Rio Grande Drive, near JFK Drive, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The agency said patrol deputies were sent to the residence and found two occupants in need of emergency medical treatment.
Both parties were taken to nearby Riverside University Medical Center, one in critical condition with a chest wound, according to reports from the scene. The condition of the other person could not be confirmed.
The circumstances behind the confrontation were not immediately known.
Sheriff’s detectives were investigating.
