Two young men were shot and critically wounded in a suspected gang-related shooting in Compton.

The shootings happened about 5:25 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Rose Avenue, according to Los Angeles sheriff’s Deputy Trina Schrader.

Responding officers found the two 18-year-old victims down with gunshot wounds. A third person was at the scene but escaped the gunfire, Schrader said.

No suspect description was available at this time.
