A man was shot to death Tuesday in the Florence-Firestone area of unincorporated Los Angeles County, police said.
The shooting was reported about 12:40 a.m. in the 1200 block of East 59th Street, said Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
“The call indicated that 10-15 shots were heard in the area,” Koerner said.
Arriving deputies found the man, believed in his 30s, with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body, he said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Koerner said.
No further information was immediately available, including a description of the suspect or vehicle involved, he said. Homicide detectives conducted a crime-scene investigation to develop leads.
