A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Torrance and died at the scene, police reported Wednesday.
The 57-year-old man was fatally injured about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday at Artesia and Hawthorne boulevards.
He was struck by a 2011 Honda CRV that was traveling northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard, police said.
“The driver of the Honda was not injured, and alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this collision,” according to a Torrance Police Department statement.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call Torrance police at 310-328-3456.
