A man was fatally wounded during a drive-by shooting in Wilmington, police said Saturday.
The shooting occurred a little before 4 p.m. Friday in the area of Lakme Avenue and Anaheim Street, said Officer Rosario Cervantes of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
The victim was walking in the area when a vehicle drove up and two suspects inside fired shots at the man. The vehicle then drove away, Cervantes said.
Paramedics rushed the victim to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries, she said.
Police had no motive for the shooting or descriptions of the vehicle and suspects.
Anyone with any information regarding the homicide was urged to call the LAPD’s Harbor station at 310-726-7700.
