Two Los Angeles Police Department officers were taken to hospitals Saturday evening after they were involved in a collision with another vehicle in Toluca Lake.

The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. at Camarillo Street and Sancola Avenue, said Sgt. Tiffany Ljubetic of the LAPD’s Northeast Station.

The officers were “banged up pretty good,” Ljubetic said. The exact conditions of the officers and crash details were not immediately known, she said. It was unclear if they were involved in a pursuit at the time of the accident.

The other driver involved in the collision remained at the scene, Ljubetic said.
