A woman with multiple felony arrest warrants was allegedly carrying a loaded handgun in her purse when she was arrested in Hemet, Riverside County sheriff’s officials said Saturday.
Deputies pulled over Kristyna Slaydon, 41, at around noon Friday in the 3600 block of West Devonshire Avenue for an equipment violation, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies discovered that Slaydon had multiple felony arrest warrants and that she was allegedly driving with a suspended license, Sgt. Ian Baily said.
Authorities did not specify what the warrants were for.
When deputies searched her vehicle, they found a loaded 9mm handgun in her purse, according to Baily.
Slaydon was arrested and booked into the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of multiple weapons crimes before being released on $20,000 bail.
