The second of two victims killed in a crash triggered by a speeding motorist in North Hollywood was identified Tuesday by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Brianna Wolfe, 17, was one of four occupants in a gray 2005 Saturn ION that crashed about 6:30 p.m. Saturday after speeding southbound on Vineland Avenue near Oxnard Street when the driver lost control of the car, crossed into northbound traffic and drove off the roadway, striking a pedestrian and parked vehicles, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

The pedestrian — later identified by the coroner as Edgar Kocharya, 36, of North Hollywood — was pronounced dead at the scene, said Officer William Cooper of the LAPD’s Media Relations Section.

Wolfe was taken to an area trauma center, where she was pronounced dead.

Other occupants were freed from the vehicle and taken to trauma centers.

It was unclear whether the driver was cited, or arrested, Cooper said.

LAPD Valley Traffic Division detectives urged anyone with information about the crash to call them at 818-644-8114
