A man and woman in their 60s were found stabbed to death Monday in Altadena, and a son of the woman was arrested.

Robert Cotton, 32, was booked on two counts of murder, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Tracy Koerner said.

The victims were pronounced dead at the scene of the attack that was reported about 2:45 p.m. in the 3000 block of North Marengo Avenue, according to Deputy Michelle Sanchez.

The woman was on a Zoom call when a person on the call witnessed her being kidnapped by an assailant, Fox11 reported.

When sheriff’s deputies arrived the man was found dead in the driveway and the woman found dead inside the home, according to Fox11.

The victims were brother and sister, Fox11 reported.

The victims’ names were withheld pending family notifications.

A motive for the stabbings was unknown.
