A pedestrian was found dead Friday evening under an overpass at the junction of the Artesia (91) and San Gabriel River (605) freeways in Cerritos.
California Highway Patrol officers responded about 8 p.m. to a crash at the location and found a man lying on the ground in front of at least one vehicle.
Details of what led up to the accident were not immediately available.
A SigAlert was issued for the No. 4 lane of the southbound San Gabriel River Freeway at the Artesia Freeway until further notice, the CHP said.
The age and name of the victim were not immediately disclosed.
