Los Angeles police officers were involved in a shooting Monday morning during an attempt to stop a pedestrian in the Westlake area.
The shooting happened about 3:45 a.m. at Eighth and Bixel streets, according to LAPD Officer Lizeth Lomeli.
She said she was awaiting more information from the scene after a public information officer arrived.
