An 80-year-old bicyclist who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Newport Beach was identified Sunday by the Orange County coroner’s office.
Ernest Adams of Newport Beach was hit by the vehicle on a Newport Beach street at about 1:40 a.m. on March 29, the coroner’s office reported.
Adams was taken to the Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana where he later died.
The death was being investigated by Newport Beach police.
