An SUV struck and killed a man in Pico Rivera, and drove away from the crash scene, the sheriff’s department said Sunday.
The man’s death was reported at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 9000 block of Reichling Lane, according to Deputy Alejandra Parra of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The man had been in a conversation with some occupants of a dark-colored Chevrolet Suburban, when he walked away. The vehicle sped at him, striking him and then fled the location.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Parra said.
