A 22-year-old man killed when he crashed his 2009 Yamaha RZF-R6 motorcycle into a North Long Beach building was identified by the coroner’s office Tuesday.
Leandre Robertson of Long Beach crashed at about 11 a.m. on Saturday near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and 59th Street, said Long Beach police.
The preliminary investigation indicated Robertson was traveling northbound on Atlantic Avenue from South Street when he lost control and crashed into the building. Speed is believed to have been a factor but it is not known whether drugs or alcohol played a part, police said.
Robertson was taken by paramedics to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
