A 28-year-old man pleaded guilty Thursday and was sentenced to six years in prison for a fist fight in Huntington Beach that left a victim unconscious.
Brandon Lee Green got into an argument with another man he knew that escalated into a fight about 2:30 p.m. Feb. 18, 2020, at Pacific Coast Highway and Ninth Street, police said.
The victim fell down and was knocked unconscious, police said. The man was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.
Green pleaded guilty to single felony counts each of attempted murder and assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury and a misdemeanor count of battery.
As part of the plea deal sentencing enhancements for attempted premeditated murder and inflicting great bodily injury on the victim were dismissed.
