The body of a man who apparently took his own life was discovered Wednesday near a busy Palm Desert roadway sheriff’s officials reported.
Deputies were sent to the area of Berger and Frank Sinatra drives, just east of the UC Riverside-Palm Desert campus, about 10:20 a.m., according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Sgt. Deanna Pecoraro said the man, whose name and age were not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is being handled as a suicide, and foul play is not suspected, the sergeant said.
