A DUI/license checkpoint in Lancaster netted 14 people who were arrested and cited, the Los Angeles sheriff’s Department reported Saturday.
The checkpoint ran from 6 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday morning on Sierra Highway north of Lancaster Boulevard, the LASD reported.
Three people were arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and 11 others were arrested and cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended or revoked license, the LASD reported.
A total of 490 vehicles were stopped at the checkpoint.
Funding was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
