A man was fatally shot by armed security Sunday in South Los Angeles and sheriff’s detectives were investigating the death.
The homicide in the 1000 block of Imperial Highway was reported at 9:30 a.m., according to Los Angeles county Sheriff’s Deputy Eva Jimenez.
According to investigators, a man with a gun tried to commit a crime at that location and armed security shot him to death, Jimenez said. The man’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
