A 22-year-old man pleaded guilty Wednesday to statutory rape of a teenage girl in Aliso Viejo and feeding drugs to another teenage girl and was immediately sentenced to six years in prison.
Cedric Michaelngoc Campbell pleaded guilty to a count of unlawful sexual intercourse, and two counts of providing drugs to a minor, all felonies, as well as a misdemeanor count of touching an intimate part of another person.
As part of the plea deal, charges of rape by use of drugs, oral copulation by anesthesia or a controlled substance, all felonies, and two misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, were dismissed along with sentencing enhancements for the administration of a controlled substance to a victim and using a minor for drug transactions.
The drugs cited in the criminal complaint included heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine.
Orange County sheriff’s deputies were called about 7 a.m. Oct. 27, 2019, to an apartment complex in the 5000 block of City Lights Drive in Aliso Viejo to investigate suspicious circumstances, said sheriff’s Sgt. Joses Walehwa.
When deputies arrived they were met by two underage girls, and after speaking with them and investigating Campbell they booked the suspect, Walehwa said.
