Police Saturday were investigating the killing of a 30-year-old man in the unincorporated community of Thousand Palms.
Deputies found Nathan Wells of Cathedral City suffering from traumatic injuries after responding to a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon at 11:51 p.m. Friday in the 30900 block of Las Flores Way, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Wells was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where he died early Saturday morning, according to the coroner’s office.
There was no word on a motive for the killing or a suspect description.
