Three people were arrested for intoxicated driving during a driver’s license and sobriety checkpoint in Moreno Valley, sheriff’s officials said Saturday.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department conducted the checkpoint between 9 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday on Alessandro Boulevard, west of Heacock Avenue.
Of the 685 drivers screened, one was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and two others for driving under the influence of drugs.
Twenty-six people were cited for either driving unlicensed or with a suspended license, according to sheriff’s officials.
In addition, 12 miscellaneous traffic-related citations were issued.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
