A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle traffic crash in Irwindale, authorities said Saturday.

The biker — riding a white 2017 BMW motorcycle — was heading westbound on Live Oak Avenue, transitioning onto Longden Avenue, when he lost control of the vehicle, struck the center diver and then a light standard, Irwindale police Sgt. Rudy Gatto said.

The man was ejected from the BMW and the bike, continuing on its own, struck a parked vehicle. Paramedics dispatched to the crash scene about 5:10 p.m. Friday pronounced the biker dead at the scene, Gatto said.

“There were no other parties or vehicles involved in the traffic crash, other than the parked vehicle,” he said.

Irwindale police urged anyone with any information regarding the crash to call them at 626-430-2244.
