A Silver Alert was issued Tuesday for a Corona man who suffers from autism.

Ivan Solis was last seen about 7:30 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of Belle Avenue in Corona, according to the Corona Police Department. Solis is 24 years old but “has the mental capacity of someone much younger,” police said.

Solis was last seen wearing a red shirt, black shorts and red shoes. He is 5-foot-5 and 208 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

A Riverside County sheriff’s bloodhound joined Corona police in the hunt for Solis on Monday evening, but as of Tuesday morning, he had not been found. Anyone who sees Solis was asked to call 911.

The Silver Alert program was established by the California Highway Patrol to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
