A man was shot and killed in La Puente and the shooter was on the loose Wednesday morning.
Deputies from the Industry Sheriff’s Station responded about 8:50 p.m. Tuesday to a call of a person shot near the intersection of Amar Road and Del Valle Avenue, where they located the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was unclear if the shooting was gang related. A description of the shooter was not immediately available.
The name of the victim was not disclosed.
